Dravis defends himself when Tony tries killing him with a switchblade. After he hits him with the top of a garbage can, Tony keels over and dies. He tells him to "find the truth."

- Dravis wakes up and actually has a cut, just like in his dream. The radio comes on and the top story is that there has been a murder in Kensington Way. Dravis asks himself who has died.

Scene 1:

(Dravis's Front Yard)

(Dravis opens the door and walks outside slowly with only his flanel pajama bottoms on. Everything seems to be tension filled and somber when most of the residents stand in front of their homes and watch an ambulance and a police car go flying down their street.)

Dravis: (screaming)

TIFFANY?! TIFFANY?!

(He gets no answer. He runs across the street to find Debra.)

Debra: (frantic)

Deb, where's Tiffany?

Debra:

Dravis are you alright?

Dravis:

Where is she?

Debra:

I'm not sure. She could be anywhere.

Dravis:

What the hell is going on? Please don't say that- that-

Tiffany:

Dravis.

(Tiffany comes running out of the house, already dressed, and walks across the street. When they meet Dravis hugs her and holds her in tight.)

Dravis:

You scared me half to death. Where were you?

Tiffany:

Down stairs doing laundry.

Dravis:

There was a news report on the radio talking about how someone was murdered in Kensington Way. When I woke up and you weren't there I freaked out because I couldn't find you. If anything happened to you, I don't know what I would do.

Debra:

You mean you don't know?

Tiffany:

I briefly heard about it, but no. What's going on?

Debra:

Ding dong the witch is dead. As if this day could get any better, someone murdered Shanna!

Tiffany:

As awful as that is, do you both know what this means?

Debra:

That she has ruined lives for the last time.

Tiffany:

That and the fact that everyone in town hated her. Everyone could be considered a suspect.

---

Scene 2:

(Bryant's Living Room)

(Bryant wakes up on his couch in the living room. Not showered or anything, it seems as if he had a hard night.)

Bryant:

What the-?

(Bryant looks at his coffee table and sees empty bottles of liquor everywhere.)

Bryant:

Somebody had a party last night.

(The clock flashes twelve p.m. He turns on the television and yawns. The news starts out but he is ignoring it. He goes into the bathroom and looks at himself in the mirror. The image in front of him disgusts him. Bryant concentrates deeper into the pupils of his eyes. It takes him to a flash back of him taking to Shanna.)

Bryant:

There's something else that I want to tell you.

Shanna:

Yeah?

Bryant:

You mean the world to me. All of this plotting and scheming, I did it all for you. No woman would ever have that sort of effect on me. I love you Shanna.

Shanna:

We make a great team but surely enough love can not come between our good team work.

Bryant:

What?

Shanna:

It's sweet that you think like that but-

Bryant:

But what? I've risked my life for you numerous times.

Shanna:

How far would you go for me?

Bryant:

Pretty far.

Shanna:

Maybe even murder?

(The flashback ends and Bryant comes to. He goes back into his living room. Shanna's picture is seen on the screen with her name underneath it.)

Reporter:

The victim was identified as Shanna Schoolor. Shanna was a twenty-eight year old secretary who worked for Braving Inc. Her body was found beaten with a baseball bat. The Kensington Way P.D. had this to comment.

(The report cuts to an African-American bald man dressed in all black standing at a podium with numerous microphones surrounding him. Pictures are being snapped. His name is flashed as Ryley Schantz, Head Detective.)

Ryley:

All we can say is that Miss Schoolor's killer will be found and brought to justice.

(Bryant has his mouth wide open. He falls to his knees.)

Bryant:

Shanna? No. No. This is just some sort of dream. It's a nightmare. Who would kill Shanna? Why? This...isn't real!

(Bryant looks at the bottles.)

Bryant:

Even though I can't remember what happened. There's no way I could have done it.

(There is a knock on Bryant's door. He becomes scared and runs to fix his hair and look presentable. With some success he opens it. Carmen is standing in front of him.)

Carmen:

Hello Bryant.

---

Scene 3:

(Dravis's kitchen)

(Dravis is covering his cut arm with ace bandages. He winces from the stinging pain. Tiffany walks in and takes a look at his arm, she twists it a bit to get a full view of it. She then helps him with the wrapping.)

Tiffany:

Debra is a licensed physician. You should have taken your arm to her.

Dravis:

Didn't expect to wake up and have it there in the first place. Unless you decided to tear my arm to shreads.

Tiffany:

Maybe you were sleep walking or something.

(Dravis looks at her in a perturbed way. The arm is fully wrapped. )

Tiffany:

Don't shoot daggers at me! Your sleep patterns have been strange lately. It very much is a possibility.

Dravis:

There's something that I have to tell you.

Tiffany:

Go ahead.

Dravis:

Last night, I had another dream.

Tiffany:

Are you serious? How bad was it this time?

Dravis:

Pretty bad if I woke up with a cut on my arm.

Tiffany:

That's just plain wierd.

Dravis:

You might not want to hear the worst part then.

(Tiffany looks at him in a confused way.)

Tiffany:

There's more?

Dravis:

Yes there's more. Maybe I shouldn't tell you. You're so hell bent on having me commited to an institution.

Tiffany:

What are you trying to say? You don't trust me?

Draivs:

That's not what I was saying. It's just-

Tiffany:

Go to hell Dravis. How dare you say that you don't trust your own wife!

(She begins to walk out of the room.)

Dravis:

I had a dream that I killed someone out of self defense.

(Tiffany stops from walking and turns around.)

Tiffany:

Dravis you're scaring the hell out of me.

Dravis:

I'm scaring me too.

Tiffany:

This...these dreams have to stop.

Dravis:

I know. But how?

---

Scene 4:

(Braving household.)

(Debra has a martini in her hands and a huge smile on her face. She is in her spacious living room. Happiness. That is the word that describes the mood she is in.)

Debra:

Shanna is out of my life for good!

(Debra picks up a picture of her and Timothy.)

Debra:

And you're little slut is out of your life too.

(She sips her martini and sets it down on a coaster that is resting on a glass coffee table.)

Debra:

No more sad woman.

(Debra turns on her television set. The news is talking about Shanna's death again. Debra turns the volume up as if to celebrate. Suddenly there is a knock on her door. Debra shuts the television off and goes into her foyer to answer it. Timothy is in front of her.)

Debra:

Perfect timing. You were just on my mind.

Timothy:

May I come in?

Debra:

This used to be your house, but since I'm full owner of it now, I suppose.

(Timothy lets himself in but doesn't go far. Debra shuts the door and turns to Timothy.)

Debra:

What do I owe this wonderful pleasure to?

Timothy:

You're celebrating aren't you?

Debra:

Me and the whole town.

Timothy:

Wow. I only wish I had a camera right now. So that I could show the police how much of a witch you are.

Debra:

Me being a witch? You must be dreaming.

Timothy:

This was probably all your doing.

Debra:

What doing?

Timothy: (screaming)

I'm sure it was you. You were probably the one who killed Shanna!

(Debra giggles.)

Debra:

I might have hated the bitch, but not enough to kill her.

(Timothy points his finger as if to warn her.)

Timothy:

You were jealous of what we had!

Debra:

Fifty dollars might have gone a long way to pay for your little prositute. Or should I say dead prostitute.

(Out of rage, Timothy grabs Debra by the shoulders.)

Timothy:

I know that you had something to do with it.

Debra:

Timothy you're hurting me!

Timothy:

Good!

(Timothy exits and slams the door behind him. Debra begins to shake and tremble out of fear.)

Debra:

He's never had a temper like that before.

---

Scene 5:

(Bryant's Living Room)

(Bryant is surprised to see Carmen. She is biting her lip to wait to see what he is going to say. Nothing comes out of his mouth. He is speechless.)

Bryant:

It's really you?

Carmen:

Yes it really is.

(Carmen lets herself in. She looks around and notices the mess. Bryant shuts the door and slowly turns around. He looks at her in disbelief, as if she was just a thigment of his imagination.)

Carmen:

Did someone have a party in here?

Bryant: (changing the subject)

How did you find me?

Carmen:

A neighbor from Brunswick had told me where you were. I came earlier but I didn't see you, I saw Jamie.

Bryant:

Why didn't she tell me that you came back?

Carmen:

Guess she didn't want you to know.

Bryant:

Are you here for good?

Carmen:

Yes. It seems as if you've been going through hell lately.

Bryant:

Have you been spying on me?

(Carmen goes over to Bryant and places her arms over his shoulders.)

Carmen:

Let's just say that the liquor bottles were a dead give away.

Bryant:

Why are you back?

Carmen:

Maybe to start a new life.

(Bryant pushes her off of him.)

Bryant:

With me?

Carmen:

Yes. You and I had something very special. We were a loving family.

Bryant:

But you ended that the day I woke up and all I found was a note saying how sorry you were but you couldn't go through with our marriage anymore.

Carmen:

That doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm here now. Let's try again. I know that we can do it. Please?

---

Scene 6:

(Kensington Way, P.D.)

(Ryley Schantz yawned as he sat at his private cubicle. The department is very quiet. Only a few fellow officers were working, but other than that, the night was dead. Ryley looked at a picture of Shanna. It was the only one that was in color. The others were black and white photos that were taken at the crime scene. They weren't as pretty as the other ones.)

Ryley:

Time to learn more about you.

(Ryley pulls Shanna's dossier out of a manilla envelope. He plops it on his desk table.)

Ryley: (Reading)

Shanna Schoolor. Graduated from Kensington Way University. One sister. Two parents. Worked for three years at 'Braving Inc.'

(Ryley puts down the dossier. He goes over to another folder marked 'statements.' He begins to read that as well, but begins to have flashbacks of the previous events that had happened in the day. He begins to think of when he interrogated Georgetta Smalls.)

Georgetta:

Well I'm not one to gossip but Shanna did cause a stir for the Bravings. She was the President's secretary and they ended up having a fling. The wife however caught them and I think that they had divorced. It was even rumored that the two had a big cat fight in the middle of Giovanni's. Some attorney named Bryant Barrone was in the middle as well. That's a little Italian restaurant that has the best bread sticks ever. I think that my boss had it in for her too.

(The flash back ends. Ryley picks up the statements again and looks at the names Georegetta had listed for him.)

Ryley:

Timothy Braving. Debra Braving. Bryant Barrone. And Dravis Heidel. Possibly Tiffany Heidel.

(Ryley looks at Shanna's model-like picture again.)

Ryley: (as if he was talking to her)

It seems as if you had tons of enemies. It's good to know the office gossip. Don't worry Shanna. I won't rest until I find out who did this to you!

---

Scene 7:

(Kensington Way University Dorm Room)

(During the late hours of the night, Jamie is in a crammed dorm room, full of under age drinkers. She mingles with some of her friends at a party. Jamie looks around and catches the eye of a punk/skater looking guy with spikey sandy blond hair. She smiles at him. He walks over to her.)

Terry:

Hi.

Jamie:

Hi.

Terry:

Do you go here?

Jamie:

Yeah. I'm a commuter.

Terry:

Oh so that's why I don't see you around.

Jamie:

Guess not.

(Jamie sees that someone is signaling her to come over and talk. She sets her plastic cup full of beer down on the table.)

Jamie:

I'll be right back.

Terry:

I'll be waiting.

(Jamie leaves to go and talk to her friends. Terry looks around the room to see if anyone is noticing him, and when the coast seems to be clear, he covers Jamie's drink with his palm so that no one can see what he is doing.)

Terry:

This party is going to get even better.

(Terry places a date rape drug in the drink and begins to swoosh it around with his finger. When it looks to be completely dissolved, he wipes his finger off and sees that she is coming his way.)

Jamie:

Sorry about that.

Terry:

Totally understandable.

Jamie:

Where were we?

Terry:

We were about to do a toast.

Jamie:

A toast huh? To what?

Terry:

To new friendships and possible relationships.

(Jamie begins to think of Tiffany and Dravis together. With anger she raises her cup.)

Jamie:

Definitely.

(She clinks cups with Terry. He sips his and she sips her drugged drink.)

----------

Scene 8:

(Dravis's bed room.)

(Before they are ready to go to bed. Dravis listens to the news reports on the radio. Tiffany brushes her teeth in the bed room bathroom. She finishes and turns off the light. She crawls into bed.)

Tiffany:

Can you turn the light off?

Dravis:

No goodnight?

Tiffany:

Just turn off the damn light.

(Dravis turns it off. Before he can close his eyes, the door bell rings.)

Tiffany:

Who would be here at this time of hour?

Dravis:

Let's find out.

(Dravis and Tiffany both put on robes and turn on some lights. Dravis gets to the door and answers it to see Ryley Schantz waving a warrant in front of his face.)

Dravis:

May I help you officer?

Ryley:

Yes we have a warrant here to search the house. You sir are a potential suspect in the murder of Shanna Schoolor.

Dravis:

I never touched her.

(Ryley makes his way and looks around the house.)

Ryley:

Where were you the night she was murdered?

Dravis:

Probably sleeping.

Ryley:

You can't even remember. There were some rumors of foul play in the bedroom. Is that true?

Dravis:

You have the wrong suspect, that's Timothy, not me.

(Ryley goes upstairs to Dravis's bedroom. He looks around again and notices a piece of woman's clothing coming out of the closet.)

Ryley:

Does that belong to you Misses Heidel?

Tiffany:

It should.

(Ryley opens the closet and a bloddy baseball bat falls out. Everyone is shocked.)

Ryley:

Mister Heidel, you have a lot of explaining to do.

On the next episode of Kensington Way:

Did Dravis kill Shanna or is he being framed?
