Scene 1

(Debra's foyer)

(Debra looks at Timothy with a confusing look on her face.)

Timothy:

Do you understand everything?

Debra:

I don't understand how the hell you could have drawn these papers up so fast.

Timothy:

I didn't do it.

Debra:

Let me guess your skanky secretary did. Not only is she good at ruining marriages but she is also good at doing paper work. Then again I don't think that is how she got job in the first place.

Timothy:

I'm not here to argue with you.

Debra:

Then why are you here? Do you just want to kick me when I'm down? You both are good at that.

(Shanna opens the front door and peeps her head in.)

Shanna:

Is everything okay in here?

Debra:

We're not done talking sweetie so why don't you let the grown ups talk and go on with your little tart ways.

Shanna:

Excuse me?

Timothy:

Girls that is enough!

(Debra turns away from Timothy and Shanna shuts the door lightly.)

Timothy:

I don't have much time. Are you going to sign the papers or what?

(There is a moment of silence between Timothy and Debra. Still having her back faced to him, tears begin to come pouring out of her eyes, it is something that Debra doesn't want Timothy to see.)

Timothy:

Deb?

Debra:

I bet that this is what you would like. To have me sign away our marriage. Just so you and your little slut can ride off into the sunset.

(Debra turns around and faces him. Timothy realizes that she has been crying. He does feel bad inside, but he knows that Shanna is outside waiting for him. Shanna and Tim were both hoping to see some sort of signature on the papers that would guarentee him his freedom.)

Timothy:

I'm not going to ask again.
(more demanding)
You know what I want and I want you to do it now.

(Debra looks deeply into her husband's eyes. Without blinking and looking down at the papers, she rips them up, crumples them into a ball and shoves it down Timothy's shirt jacket.)

Debra: (sternly)

Get the hell out of my house. Take your little tramp of a girl friend out of here!

Timothy:

If it were up to me I think that we could have worked this out.

Debra:

You were the one who ruined it. Now get out of my sight.

(Not caring to have the last word in their intense and heated conversation, Timothy leaves, slamming the door behind him. Shanna seems very excited with a hopeful smile on her face.)

Shanna:

Did she do it?

(Timothy pulls out the wad of paper and hands it to her.)

Shanna:

Damn it!

(Shanna and Timothy leave the premise and Debra is stricken with grief in what used to be Timothy's home too. While she is still in the living room she falls down to her knees crying. She can only be thankful that no one is around to see how she is acting. She always wants to come off as the strong woman who gives witty remarks to people who deserved it, people like Shanna. Debra feels even more alone than she already was.)

Debra: (with tears streaming out of her eyes)

How can I fight for my husbands love? I've lost him for good. I'm a loser!

Scene 2:

(Dravis's home)

(Jamie goes over to Dravis's house, hoping to spend some quality time with her new crush, and by doing so she is wearing a black mini skirt and a tight purple sweater. She was hoping to attract some attention from Dravis. She brushes her hair with her fingers and then quickly rings the door bell. Dravis opens it and his eyes are sort of in shock.)

Dravis:

Hello Jamie.

Jamie:

Hi Dravis. I was wondering if I could talk to you real quick.

Dravis:

About your Uncle Bryant, right?

Jamie:

Yeah.

Dravis:

Please come on in.

(Jamie walks into Dravis's house as he shuts the door behind her. Jamie always feels comfortable when she walks in and when she is around him.)

Dravis:

You look very nice by the way.

Jamie:

Oh this old thing. I guess I just have a knack for fashion.

(Dravis walks towards his kitchen and Jamie follows him. There is a half filled glass of Chianti on the table.)

Jamie:

Drinking alone? Maybe it was a good idea that I did come over for company.

Dravis:

I'm old enough to enjoy it.

Jamie:

Hopefully I will be soon too.

Dravis:

I was a teenager and a college student once. I'm not as old as you think.

(Tiffany comes downstairs and notices Jamie and Dravis together.)

Jamie: (to Tiffany)

Who are you?

Tiffany:

I'm his wife.

(Tiffany eyes up Jamie and thinks to herself that she is nothing but a little girl who is playing a little too much with her mother's make up, but she would not be so rude as to say something like that.)

Tiffany:

Who the hell are you?

Scene 3

(Shanna's apartment)

(Shanna relaxes on her couch and picks up her phone to call Bryant and he answers on the first ring.)

Shanna:

Where is your secretary at?

Bryant:

I am very sorry about that. My niece got to my phone before I did.

Shanna:

She has a little bit of an attitude problem.

Bryant:

It happens. How did the signing of the divorce papers go?

Shanna:

It went so so. I went down to the courts, pretending to be Debra, and then had them signed up. I slept with Timothy and teased him by making him serve the papers to Debra or else he could never have me ever again.

Bryant:

You are that irresistable.

Shanna:

Are you okay to go out tonight?

Bryant:

If I could go out with you now that would be a pleasure. I think you're getting sick of your old man and you want someone more your age.

Shanna:

Unfortunately no. I need you to take Debra out to 'Giovanni's.' She is in desperate need of help and I'm sure that you can give her the proper attention.

Bryant:

This is getting too weird and I know that there is a catch with you, so what is it?

Shanna:

I'm going to be there too, with Timothy. They will both be jealous and want to be further apart. I'll be leaving with Timothy and you'll be with Debra.

Timothy:

Even though it's not what we both really want.

Shanna:

Maybe if you do what you're told, I'll let you in on the second phase of what we can do to them!

Scene 4:

(Dravis's Kitchen)

(Tiffany circles around Jamie and Jamie feels the bad vibes starting to erupt.)

Jamie:

Bryant Barrone's neice.

Tiffany:

That's right, I saw you yesterday. How is your uncle by the way?

Dravis:

That's actually why she came over here.

Tiffany: (to Dravis)

Just to talk to you?

Dravis:

Sure, why not.

Jamie:

My uncle is doing fine and he does not have to go to the the hospital. I wanted to thank you both for being there for him. Especially that other nice lady.

Tiffany:

Yes Debra is quite helpful. I'll thank her for you when I see her.

Jamie:

Please do. I'm going to get going.

(Jamie begins to walk towards the front door but then accidentally on purpose spills the glass of Chianti all over Tiffany's white shoes.)

Jamie:

Oops. I'm so sorry Tammy.

Tiffany:

That's Tiffany dear.

Jamie:

Well like I said, I should get going.

(Jamie begins to leave again and Dravis tries hard not to laugh at what just happened. Tiffany goes into the refrigerator and pulls out a creamy slice of lemon maragine pie.)

Tiffany:

Oh Janie could you by chance give this to your uncle for me?

(Jamie turns around digusted.)

Jamie:

My name is Jamie. And I'll give it to him.

(Right before Tiffany hands it to her, she lets go of it and it drops to the floor, all over Jamie's high heeled shoes.)

Tiffany:

My bad. Isn't that what you kids might say?

(Dravis isn't laughing anymore.)

Dravis:

Ah Jamie I believe it's time to go.

(Jamie is being held back from Dravis as she wants to take a swing at Tiffany but can't.)

Tiffany:

Nice to meet you dear.

(Tiffany exits.)

Scene 5

(Dravis's Foyer)

(Dravis walks Jamie out as she is furious at the ugly scene that has just went on.)

Jamie: (sarcastic)

You're wife seems to be a really good hearted woman.

Dravis:

That is why I married her. Look I'm really sorry that you two got off on the wrong foot. Maybe if you get to know her a little better-

Jamie:

That won't be happening any time soon.

Dravis:

I feel bad. Please tell your uncle if he needs anything, that he can just call or stop over.

Jamie:

I'll tell him you said that.

Dravis:

Good bye Jamie.

(Dravis opens the door for Jamie and she begins to walk out, but then stops. She turns around to face Dravis.)

Jamie:

You're one of the coolest adults that I have ever met and I want to thank you for being a nice neighbor and a nice friend.

Dravis:

No problem.

(Jamie swoops in for a hug and then leaves. Dravis shuts the door and doesn't feel as awkward as he should. Tiffany from the distance surveyed the whole scene and was not happy with what she saw.)

Tiffany: (to herself)

What the hell do you think you're doing you teenage hussie?!

Scene 6

(Bryant's Living Room)

(Bryant picks up his phone and dials Debra's number, the one that he got from Shanna, obviously she knew the number well when she had to talk to Timothy. A very tired sounding Debra answers the phone.)

Bryant:

Did I wake you?

Debra:

Depends upon who you are.

Bryant:

Bryant Barrone.

Debra:

Then you didn't wake me. How are you feeling?

Bryant:

I feel wonderful and I would feel even better if you said yes to dinner tonight at 'Giovanni's.'

Debra:

Are you a big fan of Italian food?

Bryant:

Yes but I'm also a big fan of making women happy. Is that a yes?

Debra:

Of course it is. I'll see you at eight.

Bryant:

No later.

(Bryant hangs up the phone and shivers with disgust.)

Bryant:

Whatever Shanna wants out of the Bravings better be a huge expense to me!

___________________________________________________________

Scene 7

(Giovanni's)

(A classy Italian restaurant is where most of the residents are. People are dressed from fancy to semi-fancy as they eat elegant Italian food. Debra and Bryant sit at a table with a small candle light in between them.)

Bryant:

How was your day today?

Debra:

I really don't want to talk about it.

Bryant:

Was it that bad? It couldn't be anymore worse then what I had to go through yesterday.

Debra:

Try having your husband and his mistress come to your door asking you to sign divorce papers.

Bryant:

That is pretty bad.

(Debra begins to look around as she sips on a Martini with three olives. It was one of her favorites. She was already on her second but she was a woman who could handle her liquor.)

Debra:

I'm having a great time.

Bryant:

That makes me happy to hear that.

(All of a sudden Debra notices Timothy walk in with Shanna. They were dressed almost identical. Everything they were wearing was in black. Sort of like the color of their souls, Debra thought to herself.)

Debra:

Actually I was wondering if we could leave.

Bryant:

I thought you were having fun.

Debra:

I was until they walked in.

Bryant:

Who?

Debra:

My soon to be ex husband.

(Bryant turns around and sees Timothy and Shanna being seated. They do not notice them and when he turns back around to face Debra, she has already gotten up and walking over to their table with her martini in her hand.)

Debra:

Hello you two.

Shanna:

Oh great.

Timothy:

Hello Debra. Are you here with Dravis and Tiffany?

Debra: (boasting)

Of course not. I'm on a date.

(Bryant waves and smiles at the three of them.)

Shanna:

How much did you pay him?

Debra:

Not half as much as you charge.

Shanna:

Do you really think that your lame comebacks are going to make you look like more of an ass then you already are. Are you a little drunk?

Debra:

I was drunk enough to marry Timothy.

Timothy:

There's no need for that.

Debra:

I was just plain stupid to sleep with him. That's a nice little quote from Raqel Welch on that show Central Park West. Then again, it might have been a little too old for your age back then Shanna.

Shanna:

I think you should leave.

Debra:

Not until I tell you everything. I think that you can maybe a worthy opponent.

Shanna:

What the hell are you talking about? There's a desert tray why don't you go and hoover it down!

(That was what got to Debra. She raised her drink and splashed it in Shanna's face. An audience of people, who are gasping and whispering, are witnessing an interesting event.)

Debra:

Bring it on!

On the next episode of Kensington Way:

Tiffany and Dravis's marriage begins to slowly disolove but is Tiffany hiding something?

How far will Jamie go for a crush?

Something bad happens to Bryant. Maybe it's his karma catching up to him.

And find out if Shanna will stoop down to Debra's level and make the scene even uglier.
