Episode 12: The Answers

Previously on Kensington Way:

- When Dravis woke up from his dream about seeing Vanessa's mother, he realized what she had been trying to tell him. One person was behind a lot of the unexplainable things that were going on in the town. The person was Carmen but now he had to find out what was going on and why?

- Tiffany thought Dravis was asleep so she went to her real job, only Dravis was in the back seat of her car while she was driving, and was lead to an abandoned office building. There he heard all of the familiar voices: Tiffany, Shanna, Debra, Bryant, Timothy, Ryley, and the all powering Carmen. They were discussing what they were going to do next to Dravis. Dravis then eavesdrops some more to find out that Jamie is not alone.

- Jamie couldn't sleep in the middle of the night but she wasn't the only one in the room. Terry came to try and rape her again, only Dravis broke into the house to save the day. Jamie felt safe with Dravis as he told her all that he knew about what was going on.

- Bryant felt as if what they all were doing to Dravis was wrong and he wanted out. Carmen felt differently. The two had a gun battle and when Carmen swiped the lights off, a gun shot was heard. Tiffany, who had the same feeling as Bryant, overheard what could have happened to her.

- Jamie tells Dravis that she can stay with her and they could hide together. He falls asleep and has a dream about Vanessa saying the words "me." When he comes to, he showers and changes in Bryant's clothes as the two go and see the police. Only a picture on Jamie's nightstand catches Dravis's eye. It was a picture of Vanessa.

Scene 1:

(Jamie’s Bedroom)

(Dravis stares deeply into the picture that had caught his eye. Time moved still for him. The picture was the only thing that he could focus on. He saw Vanessa. Everything about her matched his dreams. Her dimples, light complexion, deep brown eyes, and the sandy blond pigtails that fell next to the side of her face.)

Jamie:

Dravis? What’s wrong? We have to go to the police. Like now!

Dravis:

(commenting on the picture)

This is you?

Jamie:

Yeah. When I was like four or something.

Dravis:

This is the girl who I dream about at night. The one that takes me to these dark places that I can never explain. Her name is Vanessa and there’s no way that this could be you because she claims to be my daughter.

Jamie:

(shocked)

You’re not going to believe this but my middle name is Vanessa and people used to call me that when I was little. Jamie Van Wyze. Wyze was my adopted last name and Van was short for-

Dravis:

What the hell is going on?

(All of a sudden, noises are heard coming from the stairs. As a reaction, Jamie closes and locks her door. Whoever was coming to see them or get them, was close, and their footsteps drew closer. Until it stopped. Dravis and Jamie were scared enough as it was. They stood breathless. Hoping not to be found. The person on the other side tried opening the door but couldn’t when the door handle shook.)

Tiffany:

(hollering)

Dravis! Jamie! I know that you both are in there and you need to answer this door now!

(Jamie looks at Dravis to sort of ask him what to do. He puts out his hand to stop her from making a move. They continue to stay silent.)

(Out of nowhere, a loud thumping and crashing noise comes from the door. Like watching a scene from ‘The Shining,’ Tiffany was breaking down the door with a sledge hammer. It took less then ten seconds to make a big enough hole towards the doorknob so that she could let herself in.)

Jamie:

Wow. What an entrance. Are you going to pay for that?

Dravis:

(to Tiffany)

First you lie to me and now you want to kill me?

Tiffany:

No. This is all a set anyway. I know that you know some things and I’m sorry for ever going along with it but you two don’t know how much of a danger you’re in.

Dravis:

How do I know you’re not lying to me right now?

Tiffany:

Because I’m going to tell you everything that you need to know. Once a week, we go to an office building where we would get scripts on what we would do in this town.

Jamie:

Scripts? A set? What the heck is going on? Are you on drugs or something?

(Tiffany takes her sledge hammer and walks over to the wall. What would she do next? With all the force she can, she hits the wall repeatedly. Plaster begins to break and fall to the floor, making somewhat of a horrible mess. Tiffany throws down the hammer when what she needed to reveal was in sight.)

(More interesting and shocking then Jamie’s picture as Vanessa, Dravis and Jamie looked at cameras and microphones that were before them. They were amazed and confused.)

Tiffany:

Let me explain.

Jamie:

What the fu-

Dravis:

Please do.

Tiffany:

Somehow Carmen has a connection to you Dravis. She told me that Jamie’s your daughter and that she was the mother. We’ve been acting in a scripted reality show. Everything that has happened, happened for a reason. And that reason was to make your life a living hell. Our contract stated that it was over when you found out and since you know, it’s pretty much over. Except she could be watching us right now.

Dravis:

(to Tiffany)

You knew all of this and you were in on it the whole time? Just now you’re explaining this to me?

Tiffany:

Like I said, I’m sorry but all I could do was tell you what I know and by telling you this, all of our lives are in danger. Just because you know the truth.

Jamie:

Where is my uncle and Carmen?

Tiffany:

We don’t know where Carmen is but she shot Bryant.

(Jamie collapses on the floor. Her eyes were wide open in horror. They were glistening with tears.)

Jamie:

Dravis is my father? And my uncle is dead? This woman is psycho!

(In denial)

It’s not true! It can’t be true!

(A tear falls off of her cheek and onto the floor. Tiffany looked down. She knew that Dravis hated her and Jamie was a wreck. But the truth had to be told. At least what she knew.)

(Dravis kneels down on the floor next to Jamie. Just like a father would do, he held her to comfort her. She was sort of in a state of shock. She began to shake back and forth. Dravis was shushing her.)

Dravis:

(calming her down)

Everything’s going to be okay.

(To Tiffany)

Tell her Tiffany! Tell her that this situation that Carmen put us all in will be okay and good will prevail over evil!

(screaming)

TELL HER!!!

(Tiffany couldn’t utter a word. She knew that by staying there, they were like prey for Carmen’s attacks that was waiting to happen. A war was soon to be waging.)

- - -

Scene 2:

(Television Control Room)

(Carmen sits on her black leather computer chair that stood in the small secluded dark room. Televisions were what illuminated the cramped setting. She was watching what was going on upstairs in her own home. The drama that was unfolding. The drama that she created.)

Carmen:

And the Emmy goes to...me.

(Carmen smiles with victorious pleasure. Although Tiffany had ruined a lot by spilling the beans to Dravis and Jamie, she did start something that was soon to turn into a huge conflict for everyone in the town.)

(Carmen goes through her small black purse that was sitting on the counter underneath the monitors. She rummages through it and feels for her gun, some other special items, and her cell phone. She pulls it out and calls Ryley who is sitting bored in his office.)

Ryley:

Ryley Schantz. How can I help you?

Carmen:

First I want you to call the rest of the gang, excluding Tiffany, and tell them that they better be on my side because people know what’s going on. Second, I have a very important job for you to do.

Ryley:

If you want me to kill Tiffany. Tell me the time and place.

Carmen:

Not yet. Although Bryant tried leaving, I’m not going to do the same thing to him to Tiffany. She’ll have to suffer the hard way. Just like Dravis has.

Ryley:

You killed Bryant? Didn’t you?

Carmen:

It was self defense.

Ryley:

I believe you. What is it that you want me to do?

Carmen:

His body is rotting as we speak. You need to go and dispose of it.

Ryley:

That’s kind of sick.

Carmen:

(screaming)

DO IT!

Ryley:

You’re the boss.

Carmen:

You dispose of Bryant and I’m going to dispose of the rest of the crew who are not on my side.

(Carmen hangs up on Ryley. With a switch of the button that was located on a control board, she turns off all of the television monitors. She takes her purse full of goodies and exits. Her eyes were practically glaring red in the darkness.)

Scene 3:

(Unknown Office Building)

(Just as Carmen said, Bryant was lying on his back, in a pool of blood that was oozing everywhere. He had lost the battle with Carmen. When the lights had gone off, he was right about to pull the trigger to kill Carmen, but she got to him first. When the bullet hit him, he fell backwards to the floor. The bullet went right into his head. He could hear the faint sounds of his own breathing. Then he heard her footsteps. She crept over him. Her voice was evil and her breath was heavy.)

Carmen:

I didn’t want to do this. You brought it on yourself.

(Carmen switched the lights back on. The light was bright and empowered Bryant’s closed vision. She then opened the door and left. He put out his hand to try to stop her and grab her but couldn’t. His hand slumped back down to the floor. She was already gone. Carmen had left him to die.)

(Soon one of her goons was probably going to swipe up his body like a vulture. Bryant’s vision was tunneling in and out. He then closes his eyes completely. He couldn’t hear anything but all he could feel was weakness and pain.)

Bryant:

(feebly muttering)

Ja- Jamie.

(That was the only thing that he could say. It took every ounce of energy just to force out her name. He continued to lie there because it was all that he could do. He knew that he had lost and he knew that he was going to die.)

Scene 4:

(Braving Household)

(Back in the home that he knew, Timothy sat on his plush sofa. He was in deep thought about the situation that he had put himself in. However there was more on his mind then how guilty he felt about betraying his "best friend." There was so much more than what his character was supposed to be going through. He looked at his "wife." She was on the telephone.)

Debra:

Yes. Sure thing. Okay Ryley. Thanks for the heads up. And don’t worry about Shanna, leave her to me.

(Debra hangs up the phone and turns her attention to Timothy.)

Debra:

You know sometimes, I forget that you’re even living in this house.

Timothy:

Is that supposed to be an insult?

Debra:

Not really. Just stating a fact.

(Debra begins to leave to go into the next room, but Timothy stands up and grabs her arm.)

Timothy:

We really need to talk.

Debra:

(sarcastic)

Are you going to re-propose to me again? Or is this the one where I’m going to say...oh Timothy you know I’ve always been swooning over you! Please come back in my life. Please!

(Debra scoffs at her own remark.)

Timothy:

Why can’t you just get serious? What was that phone call about?

Debra:

Oh yeah that’s right. You’re in on this as much as I am. That was Ryley Schantz. Carmen wanted to inform everyone that Dravis knows what’s going on and we’ll each be getting personal information on what’s going to happen next.

Timothy:

(shocked)

He knows?! I can’t believe it. If he knows then that means that all of this can be done with and we can go back to living normal again.

Debra:

What is normal these days?

(The doorbell is rung. Debra gets a smile on her face because she knows who the guest was.)

Debra:

I guess this is just going to have to wait.

(Debra walks over to the foyer and opens the door to see Shanna standing in front of her. She looked beautiful. She was wearing a tight red dress that accented her young figure. Debra didn’t care that she looked nothing like her.)

Shanna:

It’s so nice to see you.

Debra:

Yeah...

(Debra bites her lip.)

Debra:

It will be!

(Timothy walks into the foyer and notices Shanna. He is confused on why she was there.)

Timothy:

(to Debra)

What is she doing here?

Debra:

I invited her. There was no way that I was going to let her stay in a hotel room when she could very much stay in luxury.

Shanna:

You don’t mind do you Tim? Of course not. You do want the best for the both of us and you do want the best for me.

(Shanna walks over to Timothy and leans into him.)

Shanna:

Admit it. When we were doing our love scenes, you weren’t acting.

Timothy:

(disgusted)

Yes I was. Every little word.

Debra:

(interrupting by putting Tim on the spot)

Timothy was actually about to tell me something very important.

(remembering her phone call)

Shanna, did Ryley call you?

Shanna:

Yeah he did. Bad things are going to happen and fireworks are definitely going to go off soon. More than the fourth of July.

(Acting sympathetic to Timothy)

But Timothy...please go on with what you wanted to tell Debra. Don’t let me stop you.

Timothy:

What I wanted to say, I wanted to say in private.

Debra:

Say it in front of her. We’re all open here. Please?

[beat]

For me?

(Timothy gives in to her psychological teasing. He couldn’t hold it in anymore. Something in his mind was telling him, that although the situation was bad and awkward, it was the right thing to do. Take the plunge and just dive in.)

Timothy:

(admitting to Debra)

I love you and I’ve been in love with you since the day I laid eyes on you. When we were playing husband and wife, I really felt that connection to you. I was always hoping that we would have scenes together just so I could see you. Just so I could hold you in my arms and get a glimpse of what I was in love with.

(Debra smiles at what he had just told her. She could tell that a tear was forming in his eye. But being the man that he was, it quickly dissolved. She then looked at Shanna who was trying so hard not to laugh because she wanted to tell him as much as Debra did. The secret that they had been hiding.)

Debra:

That speech was so...lame. Even you could have taken a page out of your own character’s book. Give it up Tim. I’m with Shanna and there’s nothing that you can do about it.

Shanna:

We would ask you to join, but we just don’t want you to.

(Shanna and Debra laugh at Timothy. They were both taunting him. His heart was just broken into two, and the worse that they could do was kick him when he was down, but Debra did. It was like they were taunting him more as they laughed.)

Debra:

Now if you’ll excuse me, we requested the bedroom first. You can go and sleep on the couch.

(Debra takes Shanna’s hand and places it on her waist. The two look at each other and passionately kiss. Now there were being mean by trying to tempt him.)

Shanna:

(to Timothy)

Don’t you think this is hot?

(Shanna snickers in an evil way. The two then went upstairs to continue. Timothy was alone in his foyer. Heartbroken. He expressed how he really felt. The true Timothy Braving had come out as did Debra and Shanna. Usually it was supposed to be hot but feelings were involved and people were getting hurt. Timothy felt disgusted by seeing the love of his life act the way that she did. He didn’t see it coming at all.)

Timothy:

(to himself)

Dravis is going to need all the help that he can get! Those two are going down!

(The words were meant to be a combination of a threat and a promise. He then slammed the door to exit, he wanted to be as far away from this town as possible. At least far away from the Braving household.)

- - -

Scene 5:

(Jamie’s Bedroom)

(Tiffany takes a few small steps towards Jamie. She was looking at the frightened girl like she was a porcelain doll. Something that was fragile and could break. She leans down next to Jamie as Dravis continues to hold her. Her tears have come sprouting out even more.)

Jamie:

(sobbing)

Tell me Tiffany! Tell me that he’s alright.

Tiffany:

We’ll figure it out along the way but I hope and I think that your uncle is going to be okay.

Jamie:

Tell me it’s not true. Tell me that Dravis is not my father. I used to like him. I used to have a crush on him. He can’t be my father. My father died.

Tiffany:

Honey, it’s the truth and you have to face it somehow.

(Tiffany looks at Dravis. His eyes displayed hurt and anger.)

Tiffany:

(to Dravis)

If you hate me, so be it. From the bottom of my heart, I really am truly sorry for what I did. You may not know me. But I love you. I’ve grown to know you and love you which is why I want to help you.

Dravis:

You betrayed my trust!

Tiffany:

(contemplating)

It would be betrayal if I continued to do it, but I’m saving you in a time where you need me as much as I need you.

Dravis:

You lied to me Tiffany. And you’re right, I don’t know who you are!

Jamie:

(still in denial)

He’s not dead!

Tiffany:

We have to get out of here. Carmen will be coming after us any minute now.

(Jamie laid still. No bone in her body was moving. Tiffany begins to shake her.)

Tiffany:

(screaming)

COME ON!

Dravis:

Don’t touch her!

Tiffany:

But we have to go-

(Jamie looks at Dravis. He nods his head to show that he agreed with Tiffany because they had to escape to go and get help. Carmen needed to be stopped.)

Dravis:

Let’s get out of here.

(Dravis stands up, as does Tiffany and Jamie finally budges to come to.)

(Before they can make it to the door, Carmen stops them. They all stop and freeze in terror to see her. She was wearing all black. It matched her jet black medium length hair. Instead of holding a gun to them, she had a grenade looking device.)

Carmen:

No one’s going anywhere!

(Carmen shields her face and throws down her weapon. It lightly explodes and the air is filled with smokey gas. Tiffany, Dravis, and Jamie cover their faces but all they can do is cough and choke on the poisonous gas that was being sprayed. One by one they slowly fell to the ground. Just like unconscious flies.)

- - -

Scene 6:

(Deserted Gas Station)

(In the outside of the Nevada desert, a wonderful day was blooming. The sun made the sand shine like mini crystals. The air was crisp and cooling but the weather was scorching hot. The desert was where the outside of Kensington Way was located. Along the dirty sandy road there lied a deserted gas station that had been closed for years. The gas station wasn’t the only thing that was deserted. A red Camino was parked in front of the station, but no one was in it.)

(A black Rodeo came pulling up along the dirt road and parked in front of the gas station. Both doors open and Ryley gets out of the driver’s seat and Terry gets out of the passenger seat.)

Terry:

Thanks for the ride.

Ryley:

No problem. It seemed like you had something on your mind and a ride can always clear your head.

Terry:

You know that I trusted you the most out of all of this.

Ryley:

That’s good to know.

(Terry begins to walk towards the red Camino as they continue talking.)

Ryley:

(changing the subject)

It’s almost all over.

Terry:

Yeah but after realizing it, was the money really worth it? We all went along with it and people definitely got hurt. Poor Jamie had nothing to do with this but somehow she’s going to be one messed up person.

Ryley:

I’m sure she’ll be fine.

Terry:

What about Dravis?

Ryley:

You knew what he did and the reasons why Carmen did what she had to do.

Terry:

Yeah and I felt sorry for her, but now, I feel like a horrible person and I kind of think that she’s a little bit on the obsessed side.

Ryley:

What are you trying to say?

(Terry stops at his car. He didn’t know if he could fully trust Ryley, but he though their friendship was trustworthy enough.)

Terry:

I’m going to tell Jamie the truth. She has a right to know what happened that night. That she’s not pregnant with anyone’s child. That I didn’t rape her. All I did was remove her clothes and I remember thinking to myself what a beautiful person she really was. Maybe Carmen wanted the whole Luke and Laura, General Hospital thing to happen, but Jamie would hate me forever.

Ryley:

Either way you did it. You can’t undo what you’ve already done. You do know that since Dravis found out, major consequences are going down.

Terry:

Yeah. Carmen already gave me strict orders and one of them was to kidnap Jamie and place her in a secluded location where only I could take care of her.

Ryley:

And now you’re saying that you’re not going to do it?

Terry:

Like I said, Jamie deserves to know the truth.

Ryley:

If you say so.

(Terry puts out his hand to shake it. Ryley smiles and shakes it back.)

Terry:

Thank you for everything that you’ve done. My life really did change for the better. Once I tell Jamie that it never really happened, then I know I have to escape again.

Ryley:

Good luck Terry.

(Terry gets in his car and starts the ignition. He backs up and drives off. Ryley waves goodbye to him knowing that it was the last time he was going to see him.)

Ryley:

(muttering under his breath)

You’re going to need it.

(Ryley digs through his shirt pocket to grab a pair of sun glasses. He slyly places them over his eyes to shield the burning sun, and flashes a warm smile into his reflection from his tinted windows on his car. Before he goes back to his front door, he looks at Terry driving away. He then takes out his keys and pushes a button on his key chain. He was counting in his head. Three...two...one. All of a sudden there was a huge explosion in Terry’s car. Flames erupted and parts went flying everywhere. Terry learned a valuable lesson, that he made a huge mistake in trusting Ryley Schantz, he was one of Carmen’s number one adversaries.)

Scene 7:

Sound Studio Basement

(Dravis wakes up from being knocked out cold from Carmen’s gas spray. He looks around to find no signs of Jamie and Tiffany anywhere. He seems to be in a sound studio, but he was really in the basement of what was supposedly Bryant’s home, but was instead owned by Carmen. He also noticed cameras pointing down at him from the ceiling. There were about four or five. The area was modern and chic. Light tan walls, and a gray carpeted floor. It was a very professional and expensive looking studio. In front of him was a giant thirty-two inch plasma television that gleamed with technologic expense.)

(After checking out his surroundings, Dravis feels his arms tied behind his back. He was sitting in a black metal chair. He tried escaping but couldn’t because his hands and arms were tied too tight, but his legs were free. Then came her all powering voice that he heard from behind him.)

Carmen:

It’s time for you to find out everything and for starters, you’re going to watch an almost finished version of Kensington Way.

(The sharp television was turned on. The first image was of Dravis in the hospital, asleep. Then it was of him sleeping in his own bed, and Tiffany was next to him. They make love. The program cut to Debra kicking Timothy out of their home and Debra walking in on Shanna making love to Timothy. Fade to Shanna on the phone with Bryant on the other end as she discussed her plans for city domination. Dravis was forced to watch everything that had happened in the past days, weeks, and months. Timothy asking Debra for a divorce, Bryant running Jamie’s car into Debra’s yard, then banging his head off of Debra’s bedpost to escape sleeping with her. Violence was shown next with all of the fighting. The first was between Tiffany and Jamie, then Shanna and Debra at Giovanni’s, and then there was the one between Jamie and Carmen. Dravis punching out Terry to save Jamie. Bryant is then seen proposing to Carmen on Shanna’s grave. The music turned eerie and things went dark, Shanna was seen being beaten to death by Bryant, it was like watching a horror movie. Dravis was next seen being arrested by Ryley after evidence was found against him. Jamie was being touched in a darkened dorm room by Terry. Then Jamie tried framing Terry for Shanna’s murder. Jamie was also seen almost smothering Carmen. Next came the point where Tiffany stumbles upon Bryant and Bryant kidnaps her in a violent rage and then brainwashes her. Dravis hears himself talking to Georgetta Smalls about Tiffany not working at the library. Dravis finds Shanna alive and freaks out. A picture of Vanessa/Jamie stilled on the screen and faded to a recent clip of Dravis finding out that she was his daughter. All up to the point where he was gassed, after Tiffany destroyed the room. It ended with Dravis talking in his sleep, having one of his infamous dreams, he was mumbling...Vanessa. The Kensington Way title faded in red as the screen turned off.)

Carmen:

Don’t you think that it deserves an Emmy? Or at least a Golden Globe.

(Dravis is silent. Carmen walks in front of him and stops.)

Carmen:

I spent millions on this set and in this town. Every dollar went to getting back at you for what you did to me!

Dravis:

Tell me what I did! For the past months, you’ve been controlling my life. The people that I thought were my friends, stabbed me in the back, because they were working for you! Tell me what I did to deserve having my life ruined and shattered at the same time.

(Carmen smiles with pleasure.)

Carmen:

Yeah. I’m hoping that you will remember everything. Every little detail should come rushing back to you.

Dravis:

Justify me a reason!

Carmen:

Well it started when you and I were very young. In the town of Chicago. We both went to the same school and of course we fell in love with each other. However, your family had a big secret. They were a part of the German mob who was also involved with one of the biggest Italian mob families in the city.

(Carmen pauses. Dravis was hung up on every word. She then continues.)

Carmen:

You and I made love one night. We were both seventeen years old and I had gotten pregnant. Of course I couldn’t tell you or my family. So I was scared and one of your family goons found out my secret and that’s why I had to put Jamie Van up for adoption. For her safety and her protection. You were no were in sight because you were on some two or three year trip in Las Vegas. I think you went to college or something.

(Joking)

Nevada Mob ‘U.’

(More serious)

When you came back, we got married at the age of twenty. A private little ceremony and I wanted children again to fill in that void that I felt when I gave up Jamie or should I say Vanessa. We struck gold again and I was pregnant but I lost it when one of your mobster friends ran me down with their car. And I lost another child! It’s like the child sunk into my own obscurity.

Dravis:

I had a dream about that night! I had all these dreams about what you’re telling me about.

Carmen:

There’s more to the story. So much more.

(Dravis was breathing heavier and a tear had fallen from his eye on to his shirt. Carmen noticed it and for once felt compassion for him.)

Carmen:

After I lost the child you became distant with me. I begged you to get out of the mob life but you couldn’t because they wouldn’t let you! We could’ve had everything. A loving family at such a young age. You had to go and ruin that. One night you were fed up with me and felt as if you fell out of love. I couldn’t let you go! I couldn’t let you walk out that door on me! You did though. You kept on walking. Until I put a stop to it. I smashed a vase against your head in anger. I thought that I killed you. You were rushed to the hospital and the doctors said that a piece of glass was stuck in your brain and you wouldn’t remember anything if you came to.

Dravis:

(realizing)

I was in a coma for so many years?

Carmen:

Yeah you were. And I got back at the mob. I killed Tony Viscanni. Dressed up as a prostitute and shattered his skull with a trash can. Then I had to fake my own death. And when I resurfaced, after stealing so much money from Tony, I plotted against you after his dying words were that you never loved me and were forever in the mob!

Dravis:

I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Carmen:

(screaming)

SHUT UP!!!

(Carmen slaps Dravis across the face, making his lip bleed. She was trembling and her eyes were widely open.)

Dravis:

Why did you want to get back at me? After all those years, why?

Carmen:

(angered)

Because I heard the truth and the truth hurts. Doesn’t it? I hated you for destroying our family! You could have loved me but you didn’t anymore. And now...now you have to pay like you’ve been tortured for the past months! That’s why I created Kensington Way and staged it in Nevada. So that you can have the perfect life and see how fast it could be taken away from you, like you took it away from me!

(Dravis was silent. What she was talking about went along with his dreams but other parts didn’t make sense. Was she making it all up or telling the truth?)

Dravis:

What now?

Carmen:

The people who I hired to work with you, are either a friend or a foe. Each and every person wanted something out of this. I knew deep down inside who was going to betray me. When Jamie came to town, I had to make myself seen. I saw her from a distance when she was younger. So many times I wanted to say to her, I’m your real mother, but never had the chance. I had to keep her off guard, which was why I brought in Terry to do things to her. She was going to run closer to me. You ruined so many good plots that we could have had going on! Timothy and Debra could’ve gotten remarried only to find out that Shanna is his sister or Bryant tries killing himself and turns to Jamie for help! So many good plots!

Dravis:

(condescending)

Life is not a soap opera!

Carmen:

Yes it is and especially yours and now...it has to end. Fade to black for Dravis Heidel!

(Carmen pulls out a long .45 gun from her holster that was hanging off her black belt and aims it in front of Dravis’s face. He was scared out of his mind and tears were pouring down his face.)

Dravis:

What do you want from me? You want me to cry? I’m already doing it. You want me to bleed? Blood is already seeping. If what you’re telling me is true...then go ahead and do it. You’ve already done so much to me. You controlled my every move and the places around me. Just like a chess board. So go ahead and do it, if it’ll make you feel like a better person to get your sweet revenge. Just know something though, if you shoot me, I’ll die with dignity. I’ll die knowing that I was given a second chance in a life and for once I was a victim and not the hunter! If I fell out of love with you, well everything happens for a reason, and maybe this was my karma, or maybe you just couldn’t let go! So go ahead and do it. Shoot me so that I can die with dignity. That’s a hell of a lot of more than I can say about your pathetic and compulsive life.
